What's the best session for me?
The right session for you varies from person to person. The price of your session is determined by the date you schedule and pay for your session NOT when you are photographed. The earlier you book and pay for your session the higher the discount. Choose from the following three session choices:
The Senior Experience - $250
This session is for the senior who wants it all! Spend a half day with Master Photographer Tad Meddaugh getting photographed anywhere you want within your 4 hour period of time. With Tad's help during your consultation, you'll determine the location(s) and your ideas making this senior session an experience you won't forget! Please note that there's a $600 minimum order that applies to this session.
The Ultimate Session

This session is for the senior who wants incredible variety! With an unlimited number of clothing changes and 1 ½ hours of photography time, you can expect unbelievable variety! If you’d like, this session also includes our popular Wet Look and outdoor Urbanscape portraits.
The Deluxe Session

This session includes 4 clothing changes and 1 hour of photography time. You’ll end up with a great variety of images to choose from. It also includes our popular outdoor Urbanscape portraits.
The Basic Session

Short and to the point – that’s what this session is about. We realize that not everyone wants multiple clothing changes or a large block of time for portraits, so we’ve created this session just for them. This session is a quick 15 minutes of photography time in one outfit. Your portfolio will include a number of head and shoulder, ¾ and full-length images to choose from.
The Concept Session Add-On • $50
Concept sessions focus on a very specific idea and/or location beyond our standard sessions above. Before the concept session you'll meet with Tad to design your concept session. The concept session adds on an additional 1 1/2 hours of photography time. Please note that there's a $500 minimum order that applies when this add on session is booked. <view concept session samples>
Studio Outdoor at the beach or our private prairie • $20 (one outfit and 30 minutes - addl outfit and 15 extra minutes for only $10 more)
If you want more outdoor photography than our popular Urbanscapes, add a Studio location or your own for even greater variety to your session. Studio outdoor locations include our privately owned Prairie or the Pettibone beach area and are scheduled each week throughout the summer when the light is most optimal. If you’ve got a different location in mind, we’ll come to you. Studio outdoor locations are $20. Ask us for more details! <view studio location samples>
The Art Montage Session • $200 (includes 30 minute session and design)
The Art Montage session was designed as a session to focus solely on the interests that make you YOU. The resulting montage is a beautiful art piece to showcase on your wall. Art Montage pieces are offered as standouts, framed or metal portraits. <view samples and more information>
How much do senior portraits cost?
Because of our well-known reputation for exceptional photography and quality, many people are misled into thinking that they can’t afford Studio quality portraits. We have a variety of pricing options which allows our customers the flexibility to purchase exactly what they need. Our customer focused sales staff will help you design a package that not only meets your needs but fits within your budget. We care about our customers getting exactly what they want in a relaxed, no pressure atmosphere.
What you pay for portraits is important, but what you get for what you pay is even more important. That’s called value. At The Studio, you’ll always get a quality product, photography by an award winning, certified master craftsman, and an experience you won’t forget. Anyone with a camera can take a picture but there’s a substantial difference between a snapshot and a Studio masterpiece portrait. After you check out our quality and pricing – you’ll be surprised at how affordable a Studio portrait really is.
There’s no minimum order requirement and a la carte pricing that allows you to purchase a retouched, finished portrait for as little as $60. You get the best value when you purchase a package or one of our popular collections. Design your own gift portrait and wallet packages for as low as $235 or purchase a multi pose collection for as little as $540. Our widely popular 5-pose collection includes a wall portrait, several gift portraits, wallets and includes a free portfolio and 4 additional poses in a folio for $840. Other collection options include a DVD slideshow.

Do parents come to the session?
Absolutely! Parents are always welcome. A parent can be very helpful to you in the dressing room. They are a second set of eyes that make sure you look great and haven’t forgotten anything. Whether they only come to help you out in the dressing room or join in on the fun in the camera room, this is an experience you're both sure to enjoy.
Where do I park?
There is free off-street parking located in the back of the building (designated as "Newburg Building Parking Only") or on-street 2 hour parking in front of the building. We can email you directions right from your home so you know exactly how to get to The Studio and how long it will take to get there.
What should I wear?
You should bring a variety of clothes to the session. You will want something timeless, something casual, something edgy, and something that makes a statement about who you are! The more that you bring, the more options that you and the photographer will have during your session. Once you book your session we'll mail you a packet of information that will give you all the information you'll need along with some handy tips in preparing for your session. If you'd like, you can also come to The Studio for a complimentary clothing consultation.
How do I schedule my appointment?

3. Call (608)782-1080 or (800)274-9754 or contact us via email to schedule your portrait session. All sessions require payment at the time of booking. For your convenience, we accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express.
4. Additional information regarding your session will be mailed to you after booking.
Will I get to take proofs home and what happens after my session?
We will schedule an appointment for you to come and pick up your portfolio of images about 7 days after your session. At that time, a $200.00 deposit is due to take your portfolio from The Studio. About a week after you pick up your portfolio we'll schedule your order appointment. Half of the order amount is due at your order appointment (less your $200 deposit) and the remaining balance is due when you pick up your order.
Book your senior portrait somewhere else and changed your mind? No problem!
Every year we retake sessions for seniors who have had a bad senior portrait experience at other studios. To save you the trouble of having to do a retake at a Studio you already know didn't work for you once, your session is on us (if you've already scheduled and paid for your session at another studio)! Simply call us to set up your appointment, then drop off or mail your receipt from another studio showing that you've booked and paid for your session and your Deluxe session is FREE!
What about graduation invitations?
Are you looking for a unique way to tell family and friends about your graduation celebration? Our graduation announcements are an eye catching and inexpensive way to do just that! Your announcements are custom designed to fit your style personalized with your information at no extra cost! Either purchase the small announcement and insert it into your school announcement or save even more money by incorporating your ceremony and open house information and not purchasing costly school graduation announcements. One announcement does it all.
Announcements are approved by you online prior to printing so you can double check the design, spelling and location information and see exactly what it looks like. It's really that easy! Custom announcements start at just $45 in quantities of 25. We have a variety of single, double and folded announcement options available on several different papers. Metallic Pearl announcements are also available.
